Night Fishing
Lights on, dark water, and the bite most people never see. The sleeper trip on the list.
What this trip is
Fish behave differently after dark. Bait stacks under the lights, predators move up off the bottom to meet it, and species that spend the daylight hours buried in structure come out to feed in open water. Anglers who have only fished the Gulf in daylight tend to be surprised by it.
It is also, simply, a different day out. Running back in with the lights of the beach ahead of you is a large part of why people book this one twice.
This is a nearshore trip, so the running time stays short and the night is spent fishing.
Who it suits
Anglers who have already done a day trip and want to see the other half of it.

Other ways to fish this water
Half the running time, all of the bite. We work the ledges and hard bottom inside the shelf for hogfish, snapper and whatever else is stacked up on the numbers that week. The night trip is the sleeper on this list.
What to expect
Before you step aboard
The details that make the difference between a good day and a long one.
Water, food, towels and sunscreen. All bait, tackle and equipment is provided by Gulfport Charters. One rule we hold firm on: no spray sunscreen on board.
Full-day offshore charters meet at the marina at 5AM. Custom charter departure times are set with your captain during planning.
Cancellations within 7 days of the trip forfeit the deposit. If we cancel for weather, or the captain calls it for any reason, you are not penalized — pick a makeup date or take a full refund.
Yes. That said, these are long days in the Florida elements. We don't recommend them for young children, elderly adults, or anyone with pre-existing conditions.
Please do. Before your charter you tell your captain what you want to focus on and they build a plan to maximize your time on the water. Or just show up and let us run it.

Dates go fast in season
We're not satisfied until you're hooked.
Tell us when you want to go and what you want to catch. A captain answers personally, usually the same day.
